Rheumatoid Arthritis Support in Orlando

Are You Sick And Tired Of Chronic Joint Pain, Including Spinal Arthritis?

Holistic RA Treatment

You may be wondering why you’re experiencing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) symptoms — and most importantly, you may be searching for a holistic wellness approach to support your body and promote more comfort in your joints and spine.

This article introduces a perspective that may shift your understanding of joint inflammation — and shows how I’ve helped clients explore a comprehensive immune and gut-focused wellness system, now known as the Hamel Method.

What I Discovered in 2014 — Now Confirmed by the Arthritis Foundation

Years ago, I published this RA article based on my research and client experiences. At the time, my view — that microbes hiding within plaque (biofilm) can trigger immune dysregulation — was not widely accepted.

Fast forward to today, and the Arthritis Foundation now confirms the microbial link:

“The link between RA and oral bacteria is attracting serious attention… there is something happening between the mucosal surfaces in the mouth, lung and gut and the inflammatory response.”

This supports what I’ve observed in my wellness practice for years: biofilm-forming microbes may contribute to inflammation in the joints — especially when the immune system is overloaded or dysregulated.

My Role as a Wellness Consultant

As a Certified Wellness Consultant and Clinical Aromatherapist, I guide clients through natural immune-supportive strategies that may help relieve symptoms like stiffness, swelling, and fatigue. These strategies are part of what I call the Six Wellness Essentials.

Many of the people I work with report relief from long-standing joint discomfort, reduced reliance on prescriptions, and greater energy — without overloading their system with suppressive medications.

What the Gut Has to Do with Your Joints

As Hippocrates said over 2,000 years ago:

“All disease begins in the gut.”

Today’s science backs that up. When your gut lining is inflamed or damaged (a condition often referred to as Leaky Gut), microbes, toxins, and proteins can escape into the bloodstream and travel to sensitive areas — including the synovial fluid of your joints.

These microbes are often shielded by biofilm, making them harder for the immune system to clear. The result? The immune system may begin attacking your own tissues — a process recognized as an autoimmune response.

How Microbial Plaque Triggers Inflammation

  • The human gut contains up to 1,000 microbial species — it’s practically a microbial organ.
  • When the intestinal lining becomes permeable, microbes can travel via the bloodstream and lymph to joints, organs, and connective tissue.
  • These microbes can accumulate inside synovial joints, leading to pain, swelling, calcification, and immune dysregulation.

Scientific studies increasingly support this model. RA may not be a mystery — it may be a reflection of a terrain imbalance and immune confusion triggered by persistent microbial intrusion.

The Immune System’s Normal Response Can Become Chronic

Biofilm — or microbial plaque — is known to protect bacteria from the immune system. In RA, your immune system is not malfunctioning — it may be reacting to invaders it can’t reach effectively.

“Factors such as genetics, environment, infections, and gut microbiota all play a role in autoimmune disorders… The gut microbiota has a profound and long-term effect starting at birth on the host immune system.”

Professor Garth L. Nicolson on Chronic Infections and Autoimmune Conditions

“Although we do not know exactly what causes autoimmune and degenerative diseases, there is increasing evidence that chronic infections, particularly by certain bacteria and viruses, play an important role.”
